Three accommodation types appear across our partner schools. Here's what each one really means, day to day.
Residential
Living on the school campus itself, in boarding houses or halls of residence, usually in shared rooms (from 1 to 4 beds) with shared bathroom facilities. Full board is provided, hot lunch and dinner in the school canteen, Monday to Friday. This is the most common setup and puts students closest to lessons, activities and their group leader.
Used at: Bournemouth Collegiate, Bosworth Independent School, Oakham School, Michael Owen's Red Star Football School, and as one option at Stafford House & The Worthgate School.
Residential Ensuite
The same on-campus, full-board setup, but with a private or semi-private bathroom rather than a shared one, sometimes in a separate residence a short walk or shuttle ride from the school itself. This is typically the premium option at schools that offer it.
Used at: CATS Cambridge, Guildhouse School London, Brunel University Uxbridge, Oxford Royale (residential college accommodation), and as a premium option at Bournemouth Collegiate.
Homestay
Living with a local family off-campus, in a shared room, with breakfast and dinner provided by the host family and lunch at school. Homestay is generally offered from age 12 up and has a maximum stay length set by the school (commonly around 27 nights). It suits students who want more everyday exposure to English and UK family life.

Every option, at every school, includes: full-board meals Monday to Friday, weekly excursions with transport and entrance tickets, and a supervised ratio of 1 group leader per 10 students, on top of the school's own residential staff.
